Pan head phillips screws have a low profile and a slightly larger diameter head than round head screws. Underside of head has a flat bearing surface. Length is measured from under head. Brass is nonmagnetic with very good corrosion resistance. Usually softer than carbon steel and stainless steel. Rockwell hardness is B60. Minimum tensile strength is 55,000 psi
